Origin story.
My story starts off the coast of Gothenburg, a windy and rocky landscape that I still love today. This is where I started my journey in art and design. After that, with a lot of material knowledge in my backpack, I began the Product Design program at Malmö University, where I got my BA degree. Where my area of expertise became User Centered Design and Sustainability. These areas became a steady foundation in most of my projects. During my schooling, I got the chance to work together with the (back then) newly started com- pany Anatomic Studios AB, which develops personally designed prostheses. There I was responsible for developing color and trend proposals for the various collections, producing mood boards, communication materials and my own collection of interchangeable textile cases for leg prostheses. It was a rewarding and developing job that gave me a boost in my working life as a designer.
Now, there is a mixture of material driven design combined with ergonomics and prototyping in my slightly larger backpack. I started working for Twilfit AB. Here I was given the responsibility to pass on Twilfit’s values of quality, customer focus and material knowledge. I worked my way up to becoming a leader and responsible for employees, the store and product display and being a creative outlet for the company. Together with my work at Twilfit, I have over 13 years of experience in commercial trading, which has given me good knowledge of the customer’s needs and their way of thinking.
With this knowledge, I soon returned to school to take my master’s degree at LTH school of Industrial design at Lunds University. There I was given the freedom to develop my knowledge and I experimented a lot with combining low and high tech. This gave me a taste for UX and UI, which became a good combination with my previous knowledge. I got to dive deep into UX and UI in different projects like Artspace, which was a collaboration with Larry Toups former space architect at NASA and directed to NASA and ESA, and in my master’s thesis. In my final work, I had the privilege of working together with Auricula AB, where we together developed a portable ECG with an including app. In addition to carrying out a profound design process: from developing an action plan, in-depth research, conducting user tests and interviews as well as producing prototypes, end products, presentation materials and of course the UX and UI for the app, I also had the chance to redesign their logo, typeface, interface and specific icons and short videos for the aesthetics and convenience of the user.
